When Pantone announced that Living Coral is the 2019 Color Of The Year, I got super excited! They describe the color as
“An animating and life-affirming hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge”
Simply put: Coral is bright, fun, and perfect for Spring and Summer! I love Coral, because the color plays up the golden undertones in my skin, while adding some serious natural pink highlights to boot. The pretty but fun shade just works on everything from formal gowns, to blouses, dresses, tops, and blazers. It even looks great as athleisure!
Styling Coral
Coral is such an easy color to style because the shade has many variations that make it simple to pair with pieces you already own. The 2019 Color of the Year, Living Coral, is an electric peachy shade, but it can also have pink undertones (as shown in my dress featured in the post), or deeper, fiery orange tones that make the color appropriate for nights out and dressy events. You can pair a coral halter with classic cut, fitted white or ivory pants. Another casual way to style the shade would be to pair a white knotted front tee with a swingy coral colored skirt.
