Happy Monday Socialites! It’s forecasted to warm up a bit in NC this week (might even hit the 80s by the weekend!), and I am super excited for the approaching spring weather!
I change my decor seasonally, so I’ve been busy curating a concept for my home this spring. I am still loving all things blush, but I’m wanting to add a bit more glam/luxe factor to my current decor. One of the trends I have been crazy about this year has been the Bar Cart! I’m rather surprised by this because I am not a drinker, but I love the images I’ve seen of bar carts being used as a chic decor piece. Recently, I read a blog post on Havenly.com about Styling Bar Carts, and I was sooo intrigued! I have been pinning like crazy on Pinterest, and gathering all kinds of inspiration from social media, and I’m looking forward to creating my own super chic cart filled with Perrier and LaCroix of course! ? I’m sharing a few of my favorite images and bar cart essentials below, so keep reading, and get inspired!
The Bar Cart
It goes without saying that the bar cart is the most essential piece. LOL. I have been leaning toward gold and glass, for the glam effect, but I also think that silver is very chic, and wood is very classic. I tend to lean toward two level carts, and my faves have been the carts that have added touches such as glass racks, and wine bottle holders.
Decanters & Glassware
This is where you can really show your style! You can choose a simple glass decanter, and or a sculpted piece that will stand out as art. You can choose classic stemmed glassware, modern stemless, or even cracked mosaic glassware. Let your personality show, and choose pieces that balance but enhance the decor of your room!
Ice Buckets
In my opinion, the ice bucket is a “grounding piece” that can balance one corner of your cart. Of course, if you do a lot of entertaining, the bucket will be used quite a bit, so be sure to choose a bucket that fits your design profile: quirky, cute, glam, classic, or modern. If you’re just using your cart for decor, you don’t have to get too fancy with these, and can just stick to a minimal design.
Straws, Stirrers & Napkins
As I shared above, I tend to change my decor seasonally, so napkins and straws are a chance for me to bring in a touch of themed, whimsical, or holiday decor! Be as festive as possible. You can use gold or silver pinstriped patterns for day to day use, snowflake prints for winter, fruit prints for summer…the possibilities are endless!
Fresh Flowers
And now for my favorite of the bar cart essentials! I love filling my home with fresh flowers: I have a bouquet or houseplant on just about every decorative table I own, so my bar cart would be no exception! As stated, my perfect bar cart would be gold and glass, and topped with a gorgeous bouquet of pink peonies. Are peonies not your thing? Try the graceful beauty of Orchids, or the minimalistic chic of small potted succulents. Either way, flowers and plants are a perfect finishing touch.
What are some of your must have bar cart essentials?
Share your thoughts in the comments below. I would love the extra inspiration!
See you next time!

I am so looking forward to the warmer days ahead. I love to entertain, and I have the perfect spot for a bar drink station on my deck. Thanks for the info. I’m going to make it a stunning feature.
